Hi everyone,
We leave for China on Tuesday July 1! We'll be spending Independence Day hiking the Great Wall, and then we leave to pick up Gracie in the captial of Henan province (the city is called Zhengzhou, and is pronounced "Jeng-Joe").
We then go to Guangzhou ("Gwong-Joe") to visit the US Consulate and finalize with the US government. There is an official swearing-in ceremony before we depart for the US on July 16.
Bunnie Wall (Amy's Mom) is traveling with us to help care for Quentin and Andrew when we need to do paperwork and visit with government officials to finalize the adoption.
Here is a more recent photo of Gracie, although we think she has changed since then.
Best regards,-steve

Nice start. We'll pray this goes well (blog & trip) and that you five + Bunnie have a safe trip and wonderful time getting to know each other. I hope you post lots of pictures (aren't you glad you don't need to carry film anymore?).

Cool guys.Have fun!!!
Cool guys. Have fun!!!!
Dear Gracie,
The Auld's wanted you to know what a special family you are about to be apart of! Your dad is a very loving and gentle person, but in the rare occasion that he gets angry you will notice some funny facial expressions- at least thats what your mom told me. Speaking of your mom, she is so excited to hold you in her arms and love you all up- she has worked really hard to make your new room "perfect" before you come home. She is a great mom that loves to play games, but be careful she is real competetive and may not let you win! Your brothers are fun and can't wait to spend time with you! Your big brothers know Taekwando, so you don't have to worry about anybody harming you! Gracie, you're lucky to be part of such a loving family... The Auld's look forward to meeting you as well!!! P.S. I think Grandma will be there too to meet you, the rumor is that she is pretty cool herself and can't wait to love you up! You can come over and play at our house whenever you want...
God bless this adventure and return everyone including Gracie, the newest member to our family, safely home. Love you all, Grampy
looking forward to seeing the picture of you holding her for the very first time
Andrew and Quentin
Just wondering if you got a five piece susi nuggets and french fried bean sprouts at the the China McDonalds. Grampy
