Introducing Gracie Jin Hua Thorne

The wait is over! We finally met Gracie today. The wait was sooo long (her car was an hour late this morning), but it's very worth it. Gracie is just adorable and is getting some time to acquaint herself with us. She was very nervous and frightened when she first came into the government building. Now that we are back in the hotel room for a break she is warming right up.

Amy and Bunnie took her to the potty and helped her wash hands. She was very excited to change into a new outfit. Gracie is taking to the boys and they are horsing around and giggling.

The very first words she spoke to us is "mama" when she saw a picture of Amy and her on a camera phone. Here is that picture. She pointed to it and said "mama" and "Jin Hua." It brought tears to my eyes.

YAY!!!!!! Doreen's all teary-eyed, she's so happy after seeing the pictures and reading the blog and strangely enough, I've got something in my eye as well. It's so awesome to see her together with each of you. She looks amazingly happy for someone who's going through such a big change. God is amazing.
